I completed a PhD at the University of Birmingham studying past climate change from marine sediment cores. I then went on to work in practical conservation, firstly for the RSPB as an intern and then Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, working in hands-on nature reserve management. I took a break for childcare before starting with Severn Rivers Trust part-time. I will be developing the citizen science volunteering around the River Teme as part of the national CaSTCo project, involving trialling various water quality monitoring methods. As a wildlife enthusiast and keen bird watcher I am motivated to help improve and protect the environment for wildlife and share my passion with other people.
