I had the opportunity to join the trust as an Intern in 2022, switching careers from hospitality to freshwater conservation after gaining an MSc in Agroecology from Coventry University. My role delivers projects in the lower Teme catchment across Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Shropshire. I work with landowners and communities to create and restore habitats for biodiversity and promote natural flood management on farmland. Working with Severn Rivers Trust means enacting real, visible changes that benefit the health of Britain’s longest river for all its inhabitants.
