Baseline habitat appraisals
Our baseline habitat appraisal comprises of a detailed botanical assessment of the site, including collection of a species list, habitat categorisation and an assessment of habitat condition. These surveys are a fundamental starting point in identifying ecological considerations for a site.
Depending on client requirements, our appraisals can follow the approach of various industry recognised methodologies, including UK Habitats Classification, Phase 1 & 2 surveys and NVC approximations.
River & watercourse appraisals
We are industry leaders in freshwater conservation, with specialisms in river restoration, fisheries and water quality. As such, we offer a range of bespoke, in-channel surveys to help our clients understand the overall health of a watercourse. Our surveys include river & floodplain habitat appraisals, fish stock assessment, aquatic invertebrate surveys, invasive species surveys and water quality assessments.
