You may be aware that the DCMS Minister for Sport and Civil Society Tracey Crouch MP has announced that Friday 15th December is Local Charities Day 2017.

What is Local Charities Day?

This awareness campaign will see local charities and community projects put in the spotlight and celebrated for their vital contribution to public life across Great Britain.

As a recipient of funding from the players of People’s Postcode Lottery, we are contacting you to let you know that we would love for you to get involved in the campaign and showcase the important work your group or project does in your community.

 How do I get involved?

Using the hashtag #LocalCharitiesDay, Friday 15 December is a great opportunity for you to share images and information about your cause with your local communities, highlighting your impact and increasing your profile locally.

If possible, we would love to get an update on your projects – be sure to tag us in on Twitter (@PostcodeLottery) and use the hashtag, #LocalCharitiesDay so that we can share with our players!

If you only post one thing online…post at 9am! A Thunderclap is scheduled for 9am on Friday 15th December.
