Something fishy is going on at Severn Valley Country Park…join Shropshire Council and Severn Rivers Trust to celebrate World Fish Migration Day with a full day of activities for all ages:

10am Ranger-led riverside ramble. Look for spring wildlife along the river. Learn about a forgotten fish species and discover the secrets of a ruined farmstead hidden in the valley. Hear stories of sandstone quarrying and the trows that once carried stone along the river. 3 mile walk along riverside paths and a quiet lane. £4.50 adults, £3 children. 11am-3pm FREE drop-in craft sessions in Visitor Centre. Learn about epic fish migrations. Make your own beautiful fish to take home. Suitable for children aged 5 and above with adult supervision. Just turn-up!

2pm-4pm Drop-in pond dipping session on Elfin Pool. This wonderful spring-fed pool is full of aquatic wildlife. Discover fierce diving beetles, slippery fish and mysterious caddis flies in this ranger-led session. All nets and equipment provided. Just turn-up! Suitable for children aged 5 and above with adult supervision. £2.50 per child
